5D Mark II Audio Exposed
by Jon Fairhurst 24 September, 2009Recently, I produced a series of videos reviewing audio solutions for the Canon 5D Mark II. I demonstrate a variety of techniques using the juicedLink CX321 preamp, the BeachTek D2A-5D adapter, and the Samson Zoom H4n and M-Audio Microtrack II digital recorders. This was one of the first uses of Magic Lantern Firmware.
1. Boom Mic
2. On Camera Mic
3. Wireless Lav
4. Foley
5. Noise
6. Conclusions

Amazing Work! Just curious - have you noticed an increase in heat when using Magic Lantern? I've been using it and found that my 5D seems to run warmer than before. Any ideas?

before the first public release, but I also had the camera on a tripod with the sun beating down on the LCD screen. The best solution is to bring a cloth that you can drape over the camera to keep the sun off of it.
